PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Traugott Terrace is an alcohol and drug free community that provides 12 units of transitional and 38 units of permanent housing to low-income adults. It is a service-enriched housing program that provides relapse prevention case management to individuals actively involved in programs of recovery. The philosophy is strongly rooted in providing housing services with dignity and building a sense of community among the residents.

 

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The SUD Clinician provides case management services includes individual counseling, group counseling, case management services, coordination of care, and clinical documentation responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

  • Provide clinical oversight of residents. Draw upon specialized SUD knowledge and skills regarding relapse prevention planning and implementation.
  • Monitor residents for alcohol and drug use; conduct periodic UA testing and breathalyzers.
  • Participate in screening, admission, and intake processes by consulting with Property Manager.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings, offering specialized SUD knowledge and expertise in individual case presentation and consultation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • SUDP or SUDPT certification with WA State Dept. of Health, or ability to obtain DOH credential within first week of hire.
  • Criminal history/ Background checks are required prior to employment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Commitment to working within the mission and values of Catholic Community Services.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in a social service-related field.
  • Experience working with adults who suffer from mental illnesses.

 

 


Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach stoop, talk and hear or otherwise perform any number of physical activities that may be required in completing daily tasks.
