Program Description
Project Rachel is recognized by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as the post-abortion healing ministry of the Catholic Church in the U.S. Introduced to Washington State in 1993, Project Rachel provides compassionate, confidential listening, referrals to trained priests and counselors and/or healing retreats to women and men across Western Washington.
Position Description
The Project Rachel Coordinator is responsible for providing direct service to women and men of impacted by abortion as well as the coordination of retreats, volunteers, outreach and awareness efforts. This position leads the mission to offer an avenue of emotional and spiritual healing from the effects of abortion, provides information and training, and increases public awareness through educational presentations.

Job Conditions
This position requires the employee to work in an environment where there may be exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious material. Other exposures could include cleaning supplies, bedbugs, chemicals involved in pest control, paint and other materials used in building maintenance, building temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and odors. Working conditions include interruptions, crisis response, and regular interactions with individuals who are dealing with issues of chemical dependency and/or mental illness, or are experiencing anger or frustration.
