Position Description

This position will provide operational and data support to the African American Elders Program (AAEP) and its Medicaid Transformation Demonstration Project (MTD Project) and be part of the incredible AAEP team at CCSWW in Seattle, WA.  The position reports directly to the Manager of the African American Elders Program and assist various staff in data collection and reporting requirements associated with the MTD Project.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection and Reporting: This position works with the Manager AAEP Program, various and Program Staff in the data collection and reporting requirements for the MTD program.
  • Function as a data entry manager for various reports around Quality Improvement, program data and contract data, maintaining accurate information with data integrity in Excel spreadsheets and other databases.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for a variety of contracts and deliver accurate and complete reports in a timely fashion. This position is accountable for a smooth functioning, professional, and efficient workplace, to include:
    • Assist in streamlining processes and maintaining internal database systems for accuracy.
  • Grant Writing: Assist in the completion of grant applications by writing narratives, gathering and inserting key data, coordinating with the Director African American Initiatives, Manager African American Elders Program, and MTD program staff, and gathering all required documents.
  • Quality Improvement: Track required reports and connect with various MTD program staff around needed documents. Compile necessary reports for Compliance Reviews, Checklists, file reviews and schedule and assist with required meetings.
  • Coordinate with other CCS department as needed: accounting, IT, HR, etc.
  • Assist as needed in monitoring and audits.
  • Assist with grant proposals; grant reports; and other program reporting required by funding agencies, CCS, or other entities.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • AA degree and 2 years operational experience or 5 years’ experience working within an office with increased responsibilities.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Office 365 at an intermediate skill level. Database experience. The ability to learn, and manage complex databases, software and computer systems.
  • Ability to read and track contract requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data and track required reporting information across multiple programs
  • Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a diverse audience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities under stressful circumstances.
  • A desire to help people from diverse backgrounds with multiple complex needs.

  • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA Degree.
  • Understanding of risk and liability.
  • Experience working in a social service, non-profit setting.
  • Grant writing experience.
